Senate Bill 410 is Vetoed!
Thank you, Governor DeSantis!
We want to express our deep appreciation not only to the Governor, but also to everyone who took the time to advocate for the veto of Senate Bill 410.
This damaging legislation would have undermined local comprehensive planning in Martin County and all across Florida.
More than 13,000 people reached out to the Governor through an online petition that we shared from 1000 Friends of Florida, in addition to placing phone calls and sending emails. Clearly, all this participation has paid off!
And if you haven’t already heard, the Governor included $100 million for Florida Forever in his 2020-2021 fiscal budget. This land conservation program helps to ensure the preservation of our natural resources for future generations.
