Exclusive: Sen. Rubio challenges legitimacy of Brightline financing

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, joins with Congressman Mast and Congressman Posey questioning the legitimacy of the FDOT approval of $1.75 billion in tax-exempt bonds. Brightline needs the bonds to pay for the Miami-Orlando high-speed passenger rail. Rubio has expressed his concerns in a letter to U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. No stops are planned for the Treasure Coast.
