The Everglades Was Almost A Jetport

In the 1960s, plans were made to build a huge jetport in the Everglades, followed by other development projects. Two brave men, Joe Browder and Jupiter Island’s Nathaniel Reed, fought to prevent the project and protect the Everglades from disappearing. This CBS piece shows the beauty of the Everglades and tells the ongoing story to protect it with interviews from Mr. Reed and photographer Clyde Butcher.
