Amendment 1, approved by 75% of Florida voters, calls for the acquisition of new land and water resources. Instead, the legislature wants to spend that money just to maintain existing projects and to fund existing government agencies.

So, Lake Okeechobee discharges will not flow south, but will continue to pollute our fragile waterways.

We have one chance to overturn the legislature’s errant plans. But we must act now.
