Martin County says All Aboard Florida ignored viable western corridor

railroadtracksMartin County will be presenting a fifth railroad option that would take All Aboard Florida on a westerly track, avoiding two bridges and environmentally sensitive
wetlands on Tuesday, September 20th at 2:30 pm. The presentation will be before Martin County Commissioners.

According to Martin County, “the purpose of the item is to educate the Board and the public about the alternate corridors considered for the proposed All Aboard Florida (AAF) high speed passenger rail.”

The presentation will also call into question whether all alternate corridors were considered by AAF in its Draft Environmental Impact Statement. (DEIS)
